1. Who are you? Most know me as Linzi, or whatever variation comes to mind. I am a published poet and photographer. I am a little of everything in a tiny package. I'm ambitious and relaxed.

2. What is your artistic passion? The written word, and photography. I like to capture the moment. Life is so short and we take so many things for granted. I like to be able to take my camera and capture that wedding, that birthday, that sunset, whatever. Otherwise, I like to use my writing to make the ordinary, extraordinary. To put a spin on something completely mundane, and make it surprise you, make you smile, laugh, cry, or even just THINK. Which I don't think anyone does enough of these days.

3. Why did you get into art? I began writing after my grandfather handed me a book of Edger Allen Poe poems and I though "wow, I love this. I could do this!" and I have been ever since. As for photography, that started out as more of a favor to a friend, in a band. They needed someone to take pictures at a show and I was already there. After seeing the results and seeing people's reactions to something i had done, i was hooked. Now, all I want is to photograph the music scene.

4. How do you inspire yourself? I can't really inspire myself when it comes to poetry. It just kind of comes to me at random intervals. Which is hard, considering I don't carry a notebook everywhere I go. I have written things, spur-of-the-moment style, on napkins and god knows what other surfaces over the many years. As for photography, I have to simply walk into a venue and make some sort of connection with those on stage, or, if I'm simply outside in my backyard, with the environment around me.

5. Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years? Done with college and working on my first photography job, preferably weddings or something similar. I'd also like to see myself with at least one book published and selling. :]
